Cleanse wrap-up

So just realized I forgot to mention how my cleanse went :) I did complete all 3 days of my juice cleanse. It wasn't that bad. I was never hungry, actually by the third day I could barely finish all my juices. The only juice that was truly nasty was the one I had to drink first thing in the morning. The rest were quite scrumptious. Benefits: My interiors defin felt cleansed out. I'm more regular. My eating habits did improve right after the cleanse. But now I have slid back into some old habits. I'm trying to restrict the badness though to only the weekends. During the week I try to eat healthier. Unfortunately I still haven't started exercising. Its just so cold in the morning and I'm soooo not motivated. But I think we are going to Cali in late January/early February. So since I don't want to look like a roundface teletubby I'll need to start exercising :) So on the cleanse I highly recommend it. I felt much better afterwards and I will be doing it again in the spring. I will be stepping it up though and do the next level which has more green juice. I'll let you know how I fare. Happy exercising to all!

3 day Cleanse

So I decided to jumpstart eating better and trying to exercise (since its really hard to do in winter time) I'm doing a 3 Day Cleanse. It's based on the BluePrint Cleanse. But since I can't afford to have their juices shipped to me I bought their book The 3-day Cleanse. I've been pre-cleansing all weekend which basically involved cutting out caffeine and uber-greasy heavy foods. So had smoothies, salad, soup, had some cabbage last night. It wasn't terribly bad but I did have a caffeine withdrawal headache yesterday. So had to drink some green tea. I just feel that I'm full of junk, been eating like a piggie for a few months now with all care thrown to the wind. So want to get that mess out of me and start fresh. And portion control!!! That's my biggest downfall.

I picked this cleanse b/c your not starving yourself, I'm drinking 6 juices a day and some are smoothies. They aren't super strict if you HAVE to eat something during the cleanse they give you a list of recommended snack items. Tons of recipes in the back of the book for pre and post cleanse. Lots of good ideas and I love their motto "Work hard. Play hard. Cleanse. Repeat." So if this experiment is successful I may be incorporating this cleanse into my diet every few months. Can't do it every month way to 'spensive. Even doing the juices myself still came out to around $150. Cheaper than $265 but still, ouch!

So I'm on day one juice one right now. Its the green juice, I'm getting it down slowly. It doesn't taste bad just different. My tastebuds are like "What's all this?" It has spinach, kale, parsley, green apple, cucumber, lemon and ginger. All the rest of the juices have way better ingredients but this is the first one in the morning to get stuff moving haha! Anyways I'll try to post later this week or beginning of next week and let you know how I fared. Happy detox to all!

What's going on?

I don't know what's happened to me. Its like September came and I just stopped. I stopped watching what I ate, stopped exercising, stopped caring. Its now November, 2 months later and I'm paying for all the stopping I've done. I haven't weighed myself but I don't need too. I know I'm bigger. I feel it and look it. Mike told me I had a small fat roll in my back. My back was always my pride and joy, no fat rolls ever! Now it too has gone the way of the flab. I'm turning 30 in a few weeks and I don't think that has anything to do with it. I'm perfectly fine with turning 30. I just wish I wasn't almost 170 lbs :p (don't know if I am that weight but feels like it since last weigh-in I was 160something). I'm looking at diet stuff online but I don't really need that. I know what I need to do. Drinking this Dr. Pepper isn't helping me. So how do I motivate myself. How do I make myself get up in the morning and workout and make myself eat healthy? Do I need to go cold-turkey and do a detox? When I've done those before they help me get back to eating healthy. So maybe that will be a start. I don't know though just feeling in the dumps about the weight gain. I'm going to see if I can find my old veggie/fruit detox and do it for 7 days.

Hope your exercise/diets are going well.

I'm Still Here

Been working my butt off for the past month and a half. For 3 weeks straight watched what I ate and exercised. My routine was running and Slim in 6 Ramp it Up for 5 days a week. I alternated the two I didn't do them the same day :p I'm not that crazy. Some days when I didn't want to do either I would do CardioBurn Kickboxing with Patricia Moreno. Its not super hardcore but I can really feel the muscles in my back and sides after doing the 30 minute workout. It also has a 50 minute workout but its so slow I get bored for that long. Now I have plateaued so need to pump it up. So today started Burn it Up in the Slim in 6 series. Its a long 60 minute video and thought I would die after 40 minutes so had to stop (plus had to go to work). Also, I'm ramping up my running routine. And for giggles I ordered an ooooold Firm video Total Bodysculpt with Susan Harris. Loved this back in the day and it really worked. So looking forward to starting it up again. The whole reason I started really working out was because we went to the beach a couple weeks ago and I was trying to fit into this bathing suit

Of course I don't fill out the suit like that but it looks total retro cool :) However when the suit first arrived I was bulging in areas where I shouldn't have been so my goal was to loose the bulges. And I would like to say that I accomplished my goal because by the time we went to the beach I was no longer bulging. Hooray! Still haven't really lost many inches but I am firming. I know since I'm "older" (not in the sense that I'm old just that I'm no longer 20) it will require more work and diligence to loose the weight and keep it off. But I'm determined and I refuse to go backwards so I will keep at it. What's your exercise goal for this fall?

Week bazillion and two

check check, is this thing on, haha! So been going through some stuff personally but still trying to keep on top of the exercising. Monday did some gilad. Tuesday I ran. Today was feeling real tired so did my pilates workout. Its not intense but it feels better than doing nothing. Tomorrow hopefully I can get up and run again. Been eating pretty decently nothing crazy bad this week, we'll see how the rest of the week pans out :) Happy exercise day to you!

Last Week

So trying a new routine. Doing cardio 3 times a week. I was going to start running but I overdid it one day and now my right shin hurts. Don't want to get a stress fracture so letting it heal up and I'll ease back into running. Soooo what I've been doing is going to the gym at our apartment complex and doing 30 minutes on the elliptical machine. After I'm done I work with the weight machine focusing on my arms and legs. The other 2 times a week I'm supposed to be doing a video at home, mostly Slim in 6 Burn it Up! However there has been some illness in the family and I haven't been able to work out as much as I would like too. I did eat from home all last week and didn't overeat at any meals. This week I haven't been able to work out at all :( But its only Tuesday so still plenty of time. Anyways I would like to lose 15 pounds and tone by July. Two months, I think I can do it. What's your plan for this summer?

Hello, hello...

is this thing on? haha! So yeah been gone for a while. I don't know what it was but the past month and a half i've been very ambivalent about exercising and eating right. But after the wedding a couple weeks ago I realized I need to get back with it. I was going to start as soon as I came back but got sick, boo! So climbed back on board yesterday. I walked about an hour and half yesterday, some outside and some on the treadmill. I wanted to go for a run in the morning but it just wasn't happening. I also made sure to eat within my calorie limit (1500-1600 calories a day). I didn't get up today to do my video but its okay, I won't beat myself up about it. Tomorrow I'm going for a run in the morning. I'm looking forward to it. I feel better already just from walking yesterday. So maybe by the end of June I'll be where I want to be, 15 lbs lighter and more toned.

Bread

Oh bread, the bane of my weight loss workout. You taste sooo good, with cheese, with butter, with jam, with just about anything. How I love thee.
Me and bread have a love hate relationship, in that I love it and it hates my backside, haha!
Bridesmaid dress came in today, going to go pick it up and keep it in the house. Think that will defin be an incentive to work out knowing that I have to squeeze my hips into it.

Okayyyyy

So weighed myself this morning and even though I feel exactly the same the scale said I lost 5-6 pounds. Now I know there is no way I lost that much weight that quick. So the only thing I can think of is I must have been bloated last week when I weighed myself and retaining water. boh! But at least I feel a little better about myself, so that just means I got flabby instead of fat :o Which I'm not sure which is worse. Been doing okay on my exercise routine. Haven't been able to do exercises every day but have been doing them every other day. Not beating myself up about it though if I miss a day. I tell myself its okay, you'll exercise tomorrow and kick butt. Hopefully next week I'll be more in a routine and really stick to the 5-day a week exercise video. I'm still doing the Start it Up video of the Slim in 6 series. Since it had been so long I thought it best to ease into the exercising. But after a week I'm not even sore anymore so I look forward to Ramping it Up next week, yah!

I ordered my bridesmaid dress for the wedding in April. The size I ordered is a bit snug around the hips so I need to bring it the next two months to get into wedding wear shape :)Here's what the dress looks like

Wagon? What wagon?

So fell off the diet and exercise wagon. Didn't really fall kinda threw myself off and landed in some nice french fries and beer hahah! Anyhoo I'm dusting the salt off and running to catch up and climb back on. Weighed myself after my weekend at the grandparents house, gained 10 lbs since November. Not where I want to be. Winter is hard what with the sun coming up later, don't want to get out of bed at six in the morning when its all dark out. But that 10 lb weight gain and pictures of me with a full face got me straight. So started yesterday with exercise. Did my slim in six start it up video. Decided to start at the beginning since its been so long. Boy am I glad I did cause I am sore today. But kept it up did the video again. Goal is to work out 5 days a week doing my slim in six series. So tomorrow Start it Up again and all next week. Then the following week moving on to Ramp it Up and so on and so forth. I also have motivation to lose the weight and maintain. A good friend is getting married in April and she asked me to be in the wedding. So want to look nice and toned for that occasion. Hopefully you didn't fall off the wagon this winter.
